Grants Project Lead

  • Operations & Finance
  • Full-time
  • Stockholm, SE

Cemvision is hiring a Grants Project Lead to accelerate our journey towards transforming the cement industry.

Cemvision is a growing company on a mission to decarbonize cement, one of the world’s most urgent climate challenges which accounts for 8% of global CO2 emissions. We’re a team of cement and electrification experts, researchers and supply chain specialists, creatives and innovators, not only from the traditional industry and academia but also from the hyper-growth tech world. We’re proud to be backed by Breakthrough Energy Fellows (founded by Bill Gates in 2015), Norrsken Foundation, EQT Foundation, Polar Structure, BackingMinds, and Zacua Ventures, as well as companies from the cement, construction and real estate industries.

We’re currently on a journey to grow bigger, faster with the help of an analytical Grants Project Lead who can create great opportunities for us to grow and get us closer to accomplishing our mission.

About the role

As Grants Project Lead, you will be responsible for identifying, applying for, and managing public funding opportunities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and achieving our funding objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the strategic plan for all public funding activities for Cemvison, with the aim of maximizing our funding outcomes.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize projects and initiatives that require public funding support.

  • Monitor and track funding opportunities and requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of grant applications, relevant reporting requirements, and required reports to funding agencies and partners.

  • Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping practices.

  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, foundations, and investors on a national and international level (e.g. EU funding, IRA), to ensure access to funding sources and favorable funding terms.

What do you need to succeed?

To be successful, you should have a ‘no-problem-too-big’ attitude and be highly resourceful. This means a lot of drive, an analytical mindset, and being motivated by collaborating with others and getting things done. You should also have great communication and interpersonal skills, as well as project management skills with a meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

We think you have a bachelor in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, ideally with experience in public funding, grant writing or similar experience with a track record of high success rates securing funding. We also think you have a great understanding of funding sources and opportunities, as well as good familiarity with laws and regulations governing those activities.

We believe you’re a person who gets excited about:

  • Work within climate tech and reverse climate change.

  • The unique challenges and opportunities that come with a fast-paced and ever-evolving startup culture.

  • Finding and exploring new funding opportunities.

  • Developing creative and compelling grant proposals.

  • Problem solving.

  • Building relationships.

We offer a unique opportunity to disrupt and help shape the future of the cement industry. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team of experts that is dedicated to, together as a team, creating a sustainable future for generations to come. We also offer an exciting work environment where innovative ideas and sustainability are at the core of what we do, and where your contributions will be a key component in our success.
