ChemFinity Technologies is a new startup established in 2022 and located in Brooklyn, New York. ChemFinity is focused on developing advanced polymer materials for water treatment and other environmentally relevant separations.

Our team is seeking outstanding engineers and scientists with experience in large-scale polymer membrane synthesis, process, design, and manufacturing. Experience with R&D of new polymer materials with a track record of commercialization is also highly desired. We especially encourage diverse candidates to apply.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in polymer science, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or other related field

3 or more years of industrial experience in polymer synthesis and manufacturing

Experience in polymer scale-up development, characterization, and fabrication

Knowledge of chemical and materials characterization techniques

Ability to design novel solutions and equipment for commercialization

Versatility and flexibility to adapt to business needs and deadlines

Strong communication skills to work with multi-disciplinary team

Strong work ethic to finish tasks independently while handling multiple assignments at a time

Unwavering commitment to high laboratory safety standards and supportive and inclusive work behavior

Responsibilities:

Fabricating membrane materials toward product scale-up

Developing, validating, and implementing new polymer membrane development for use in our device prototypes

Executing performance characterizations and optimizing manufacturing processes toward industrial commercialization

Analyzing data from laboratory studies and preparing weekly or monthly technical reports

Working independently and with other team members to lead projects, help troubleshoot issues, and install equipment

Communicating results to technical management and recommending improvements or changes to all polymer processes

Monitoring, identifying, and resolving issues and assisting team in developing new resolutions for all product development

Maintaining high safety standards in lab operations and adhering to all safety regulations

Collaborating with technical team to improve all materials and polymer processes and forecasting requirements needed
