Background: Gallox Semiconductors Inc. is a US-based startup devoted to the commercialization of gallium oxide devices, the next-gen, ultra-wide bandgap semiconductor. We believe in the power of gallium oxide to address the global climate challenges by making power conversion more efficient.

Gallox was spun out from Cornell University in 2023.

Position: This Process Development Engineer position is full-time, with compeditive salary, benefits, and equity. We are looking for someone eager to grow with Gallox and contribute to our long-term success.

Job Duties:

• Fabrication of semiconductor test structures and devices in the Cornell Nano Fabrication (CNF) Facility
• Design of experiments to optimize material structure and device design
• Testing and characterization of semiconductor devices by electrical and optical techniques
• Analysis of data

Additional opportunities:

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience working in the CNF or other semiconductor fab/lab setting
  • Experience with photolithography, evaporation, sputtering, etching
• Experience with probe stations and semiconductor electrical measurements
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-starter, can work independently with minimal oversight
• MS or PhD in electrical engineering, material science, applied physics, physics, or related field, or BS with equivalent experience.
• Must be US Permanent Resident or US Citizen.
