Mantel is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, building financial models, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze current and past financial data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Support month and quarter close activities and work with external consultants where applicable in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financials for management and stakeholders.
Support scenario analysis, business cases, and investment analysis.
Assist in the preparation of board materials, investor presentations, and ad-hoc financial reports.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across financial systems and reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math or a related field
2+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, corporate finance, or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Quickbooks is an asset;
Experience in procurement and/or expense management systems is desirable; experience in ERP systems is a plus.
Strong understanding of financial statements, modeling, and forecasting techniques.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
